The publishing house Jullien brothers (1880-1918) was established on the basis of a bookstore founded in Geneva in 1839. The five brothers, who were descendant owners, became the pioneers of postcard publishing in French-speaking Switzerland. Many of the postcards are initialed J. J. (John Jullien) after the name of the youngest brother.
